Hello

Hello, I’m Dr. Ronda Cypret-Mahach, Associate Professor and Department Head for Initial Teacher Education at Lindenwood University. As an educator, my passion lies in empowering students to become confident and effective teachers who can inspire and motivate their students. Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate enough to work in various capacities, including teaching Kindergarten, leading technology programs, holding administrative roles, and serving as a university professor. Through these diverse experiences, I’ve learned every student possesses unique needs and strengths and that successful teaching demands continual innovation and adaptation.

As the Department Head for Initial Teacher Education, I’m committed to helping future teachers succeed in today’s rapidly-changing educational environment. My research focuses on innovative teaching methods and their impact on student learning, particularly in the realm of K-12 virtual teaching and learning. I’m constantly learning and growing alongside my students, and I’m honored to be part of their journey as they develop the skills and knowledge they need to make a positive impact in the world.

I’m proud to have earned my Doctorate in Instructional Leadership and my Master of Arts in Teaching from Lindenwood University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. My teaching certifications include Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle School Language Arts, and Social Studies. Along the way, I’ve also earned specialized certificates in teaching online, innovation and critical thinking, and e-learning essentials. However, what’s most important to me is the connections I’ve made with my students and colleagues over the years. I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to mentor new teachers, host student teachers, and collaborate with fellow educators on meaningful research projects.

Fun fact: I’m also an ordained minister through ulc.org, a division of the ULC. I believe that embracing diverse perspectives and exploring new ways of thinking is crucial in both teaching and in life, and I bring this open-minded approach to everything I do.

At the end of the day, I believe teaching is all about connecting with people and empowering them to achieve their full potential. I’m excited to continue doing just that here with this website to provide support and resources for classroom teachers. I look forward to working with each and every one of my students as they embark on their own teaching journeys.
